Our Story
We have all been there — planning a trip with a guide that lists a hotel at $40 a night, only to find out the price doubled two years ago. Or following a "perfect itinerary" that has you crossing the same city three times because the writer never actually walked the route.
Drift Trails started because we got tired of guides like that. We are a team of travel writers who decided to do things the hard way: go to the destination, walk the route, eat the food, stay in the hotels, write down every price, and only then publish the guide.
What You Get Here
Every guide on this site is built from a real trip. You will find practical day-by-day itineraries with transport logistics, honest hotel and restaurant recommendations, and a full cost breakdown in local currency and USD — so you know exactly what to budget before you book anything.
When something changes on the ground — a restaurant closes, a visa rule shifts, a bus route is rerouted — we update the guide. If we have not been to a destination yet, you will not find it on this site.
The Team
Drift Trails is run by a small editorial team with backgrounds in guidebook publishing, travel magazines, and on-the-ground reporting. We also work with freelance writers and local contributors who help verify prices, test routes, and flag changes.
